Originally chartered in 1946 by 26 educators of Broward County Public Schools, we have an education-based core; BrightStar puts a special emphasis on the education system and giving back to schools and their staff in various communities. Through a variety of outreach partnerships, scholarships, and volunteer efforts, BrightStar is aiding Florida counties, educators, and their cities immensely.
